Policy and Guidance Status
The British Shuai Jiao Union (BSJU) is an autonomous organisation maintaining its own constitution and rules but implements policy abd guidance in compliance with legislation and regulation in the United Kingdom. The BSJU is a member of the European Shuai Jiao Union (ESJU), and the World Shuai Jiao Federation (WSJF) and represents the interests of Shuai Jiao development in the United Kingdom. In governance terms the BSJU reports to the ESJU on matters of: policy development; operational management; and the administration of coaching and referee programmes. Conflict in European level policy development and national level policy development are resolved by the BSJU Executive Board who refer British and International Law as applicable.
The BSJU is a membership organisation and intends to expanded its network of qualified coaches, judges, referees and individual members, throughout the United Kingdom, providing access to the sport in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The principal activity of the BSJU is the promotion, development and supervision of Shuai Jiao activities. The members directly elect the Chairman and five (5) Directors. The President is appointed by the WSJF. The BSJU's executive staff address the delivery of the BSJU’s strategic objectives, and other specific business issues.

The
BSJU Anti-Bullying Policy sets out our commitment to preventing and addressing bullying in a clear statement. The BSJU Anti-Bullying Policy and associated webinars provides advice and guidance on responding to incident of bullying and preventative measures that can be implemented.
The
BSJU Complaints Policy sets out the standards expected regarding the conduct of all Shuai Jiao participants, and parents/carers; and process for complaints, if the standards of expected conduct are not met. The BSJU are committed to implementing and promoting high standards of conduct, good governance standards, including with respect to diversity and inclusion, throughout our membership.
The
BSJU Equality Policy sets out the required practice regarding diversity and inclusion. Compliant with the Equality Act 2010 and related regulations in the United Kingdom. The BSJU are committed to publish an Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan to deliver greater transparency about our progress, demonstrating progress and highlighting where there are opportunities to improve.
The
BSJU Safeguarding Policy sets out the required practice regarding child protection and safeguarding of adults at risk. Compliant with relevant British safeguarding legislation. The BSJU aim to strengthen welfare and safety in sport, informed by evidence and research and headed by the BSJU Safeguarding Director. Our aim is to investing in and support safeguarding work, working with key partners to develop our Safeguarding Case Management Service.
The
BSJU Whistleblowing Policy sets out the policy, process and procedure of the BSJU for dealing with whistleblowing.
